Blessings - Safe, Open, Holy 21 December 2010 ex?Peace

Safe

I may believe that the weather, the state, the church, or the banks are out to get me. What I see going on in the world reflects my state of mind. Think 'doom and gloom' get 'doom and gloom'; think 'safe' and get 'safe'. Whenever I get bothered I say to myself "Your peace is with me, Father, I am safe." If the word 'Father' offends you, use Source or Buddha or some one that you know is always in peace.

Open

We live in an open universe. And within it we are all connected. What is happening to other people can and does affect us. Equally well what is happening to us can affect others. With our minds closed we think we are victims of random occurrences. We are not, because there is no such thing as random. As the Cylons kept saying in Battlestar Galactica "There is a plan." To see the plan we open our minds.

Holy

It took me a long time to realise that 'holy' is not limited to religion. Holy is reverent radiance and it is in everything, everywhere. We all can broadcast our holiness. A Course In Miracles, lessons 36-39 talks about holiness. The one I like is "My holiness blesses the world." When I get annoyed, I say "My holiness blesses ___ _____". If you ever meet the pope you can say "My holiness blesses your holiness."

Blessing 26 September 2010 ex?Peace!

Everything depends on what we look for. All words and images are of the 'ego'. (Ego is that part of mind that believes that it is separate from mind). Every idea has a range of interpretation. How we interpret an idea depends on the thought system that we have learned. The following words are my mantra or my prayer - Love, Light, Life, Peace, Joy, Truth, Power, Strength, Free, Safe, Open, Holy.I offer them to you and to everybody, many times each day.

A New Paradigm - 2 October 2007 exLJ

A paradigm is a thought system that is so ingrained in a society that no-one ever questions it or even sees the need to question it. A New Paradigm is a bit of a contradiction. I was talking to a friend yesterday. His son has got married. He wanted to have a simple wedding and spend his money on a 6-month world trip with his wife. His wife wanted the all bells and whistles wedding, which she got. The son now feels trapped - all his money is gone, they even borrowed for the wedding. He's got a €385K mortgage and a €20K loan for the new car. Looking at it an other way he could say that he's got a beautiful wife, a great house, and a marvelous new car.

The New Paradigm being introduced is based on the Law of Attraction. This basically states that what you think about you get. Think about disasters get disasters. Think about abundance get abundance. There are many books and sites selling it. The major one at the moment is "The Secret". The only problem with most of them is that they are looking at things in terms of money and wealth; as if these are the only things that matter. What really concerns people is being happy, safe and in peace. These are all mind states and can only be achieved by looking at our thought system and by each of us changing our thinking.

OK, I'm getting off my soapbox.
